Valve Cartridges
Controls water flow and temperature. Located inside the faucet body.
Replacement Steps:
1. Turn off water supply.
2. Remove handle and decorative trim.
3. Unscrew the retaining clip/nut holding the cartridge.
4. Pull out the old cartridge and insert the new one (aligning tabs/notches).
5. Reassemble and test for leaks.
Handle Indicators
Color-coded inserts or markings indicating hot (red) and cold (blue) sides.
Replacement Steps:
1. Gently pry out the old indicator.
2. Insert new indicator into the handle slot.
3. Ensure it sits flush and is oriented correctly.
Water Supply Lines
Flexible hoses connecting the faucet to the water supply valves.
Replacement Steps:
1. Shut off water supply and open faucet to drain.
2. Disconnect lines from faucet and valves.
3. Connect new lines hand-tight, then tighten with a wrench.
4. Turn water on and check for leaks.
Handle Lever
Lever used to control water flow and temperature.
Replacement Steps:
1. Remove handle screw.
2. Lift off the old handle.
3. Place new handle onto the valve stem and secure with screw.
4. Turn on the faucet and check that it is secure.
Faucet Spout
The outlet pipe where water flows from the faucet.
Replacement Steps:
1. Twist the decorative cup off the faucet body
2. Lift spout pipe off the faucet body.
3. Clean the base and insert new spout, tightening the decorative cup.
Handle Decorated Cup
Decorative cups around the faucet handle.
1.2 GPM Aerator
Water-saving aerator with a flow rate of 1.2 gallons per minute.
Replacement Steps:
1. Unscrew the aerator shell counterclockwise (use a cloth if stuck).
2. Clean threads on the spout tip. Replace new aerator and insert washer into the aerator shell.
3. Screw the aerator shell clockwise until hand-tight.
Full-Flow Aerator
Aerator designed for higher water flow without flow restriction.
Replacement Steps:
1. Unscrew the aerator shell counterclockwise (use a cloth if stuck).
2. Clean threads on the spout tip. Replace new aerator and insert washer into the aerator shell.
3. Screw the aerator shell clockwise until hand-tight.
Aerator Shell
Outer casing that holds the aerator.
Replacement Steps:
1. Unscrew the aerator assembly from the spout.
2. Separate the shell from the internal parts.
3. Replace the shell and reassemble the aerator before reinstalling.
Deck Plate
A base plate used to cover multiple holes in a three-hole sink when installing faucet.
Replacement Steps:
1. Loosen mounting nuts under the sink.
2. Remove the faucet and old deck plate.
3. Position the new plate over the sink holes and reinstall the faucet.
Faucet Mounting Nut
Mounting nut that secures the faucet to the sink or countertop from below.
Replacement Steps:
1. From under the sink, loosen the old nut.
2. Remove the old nut and replace with a new one.
3. Tighten securely to stabilize the faucet.
Drain Stopper
The visible part of the drain that opens and closes to retain water.
Replacement Steps:
1. Remove the old stopper.
2. Clean the drain opening.
3. Insert the new stopper.
Drain Pipe
Vertical pipe connecting the sink drain to the P-trap.The instruction manual is marked M.
Replacement Steps:
1. Loosen the nut.
2. Remove the old tailpiece.
3. Insert the new tailpiece and tighten the nut securely.
Drain Mounting Nut
Nut that secures the drain flange to the sink from below.The instruction manual is marked O.
Replacement Steps:
1. From under the sink, loosen the drain nut.
2. Remove the old nut and gasket.
3. Place the gasket and new nut, then tighten firmly.
Drain Gasket-L
Upper gasket (thinner) placed above the sink surface under the drain.The instruction manual is marked L.
Replacement Steps:
1. Loosen the drain mounting nut.
2. Remove the old gasket and clean the area.
3. Position the new gasket and retighten the nut.
Drain Gasket-N
Lower gasket (thicker) placed under the sink between the nut and sink surface. The instruction manual is marked N.
Replacement Steps:
1. Loosen the drain mounting nut.
2. Remove the old gasket and clean the area.
3. Position the new gasket and retighten the nut.
